On a personal level, if you are concerned about someone you know who is being abused, you can be an important support.  You will find useful information about helping someone in an abusive relationship by clicking here.

And if someone you know has a problem with anger, you can help them too, by learning more about and referring them to FAMILYs Evolve program.

Domestic violence is a complex problem with complex solutions. You can help FAMILY eliminate domestic violence one family at a time. Visit our ever-changing Wish List for practical ways you can help. Consider volunteering your time and talents.

FAMILY has been a leader and collaborator in creating progressive policies and procedures to protect women who are in danger in Ulster County and in providing comprehensive services to the entire family. Court advocates, nonresident counseling, school liaisons, after-school and summer programs for children, parenting education, batterer’s programs, and direct linkages with Ulster County’s  departments of Social Services and Mental Health—all developed by FAMILY’s Domestic Violence Services—have greatly improved the opportunities for women and men to rid their lives of violence.

FAMILY cannot do this work without your support. Your financial contributions to the agency help us continue this essential long-term work for change. Survivors of violence, both women and children, also appreciate your advocacy. Be informed. Speak out. Silence kills.
