Ending Domestic Violence

My name is Kathleen, and I’m Director of FAMILY’s Domestic Violence Services. I invite you to find out how FAMILY helps individuals, families, and our communities address the terrible impact of violence in relationships.

The menu questions on the right side of your screen will link you to information about our services and answer many questions you may have.

Do you believe that you or someone you love is being abused? No one should have to experience domestic violence. Abuse, in any type of relationship, is never acceptable. FAMILY provides emergency shelter, food, clothing and counseling for all victims of family violence.

Safety is our first concern. Our skilled counselors help survivors sort out the challenges of taking control of their lives and their children’s lives. Our Advocate helps navigate the complexities of Family Court and Domestic Violence Court procedures.

If you are concerned about teen dating violence, you will find helpful information in the Just for Teens section of this website.

You can take steps to protect yourself or help someone else to safety. It is important to be prepared for taking this important step. Please read through the information on this website that has been gathered based on years of experience helping survivors of domestic violence.

If you are abusive, ending your behavior toward your spouse or other family members is the most important thing you can do right now. FAMILY’s Evolve program has helped hundreds of men change their abusive behaviors.

The FAMILY Shelter Program is committed to recognizing and responding to our community's need for comprehensive, multicultural domestic violence services. We understand that domestic violence, in its fullest scope, impacts primary victims, other family members, society, and future generations. With this in mind, it is our goal to stop the cycle of violence by providing crisis intervention, emergency shelter, advocacy, counseling, and prevention education.
