John Herald was one of many musicians who have performed to benefit Family over the years. Though not a staff member, he was always ready to help others in need. After his death in 2006, John’s friends established a fund in his name to help people with seemingly small items—a car repair or emergency prescription—which can make a big difference in someone’s life. The Fund is administered by FAMILY’s Woodstock Walk-In Center.

This Christmas, we were struck by the generosity of our youngest citizens. Time after time, we heard that young people asked the adults in their lives for meaningful involvement in community issues. |
