Street Outreach Program

It’s a good idea for everyone to know their HIV status. It’s especially important if you have had any potentially risky exposures. Read through the list below to see if you might be at risk. If you want to talk about your concerns, about testing, or about protecting yourself from future exposure, call FAMILY’s Street Outreach Program.

HAVE YOU....

  • Received any blood products or artificial insemination (between 1977 and 1985)?

  • Ever been a needle drug user and shared any of the tools, even once?

  • Ever shared needles for tattoos or body piercing or played “blood brother or sister” with anyone?

  • Ever used alcohol or other drugs to the point where you unsure of where you were or what you did?

  • Ever had a needle stick or blood splash from another person into an open wound?

  • Ever had vaginal, anal, or oral sex without a latex condom?

  • Ever had a condom leak, break, or slip off?

  • Ever been with any sexual partners who may have had any of the above risks?

If you think you have been exposed, early medical care and new medicines can prolong your life and keep you healthy.
